Help Me Celebrate!

Tomorrow is my birthday. (Don’t even ask. I’m not admitting it to anyone. Not even myself.)

The great thing about birthdays is, of course, the fat stack of gift cards I get to B&N. I know I’ll have at least $75 to spend on books (insert happy dance complete with sprinkler and Roger Rabbit).

I’ve been waiting impatiently for THE GRAY WOLF THRONE by Cinda Williams Chima to hit the shelves. It’s YA Fantasy Fiction that I <3 with mas amor (sometimes I just need to throw some Portuguese in there...my improper grammar drives Hubby nuts).

I also won POSSESS through Goodreads!  (Yay Goodreads!  Yay Gretchen McNeil!)

Other than that, I need some recommendations!  What’s on your TBR list that should be on mine?

Happy Birthday! In my already read list is the (Adult Fantasy) Raine Benares series by Lisa Shearin (she’s working on the final one now), and (YA Fantasy) the Looking Glass Wars triliogy by Frank Beddor– great twist on Alice in Wonderland.

Thanks for the recs! I had Possession in my pile, but will move it to the top.

@Mary I love FF! Will certainly look into those.

@Trisha: Ice cream cake from DQ. Will pick it up tomorrow am. Why yes, I am buying my own b-day cake! Lol. The hazards of a traveling hubby!

Don’t know what you’ve already read… I assume The Hunger Games Trilogy and Divergent (if not, definitely!) I’m currently reading The Knife of Never Letting Go which I wasn’t sure I would like for the first couple pages but now can’t put down! Cassandra Clare’s books are good (Mortal Instruments series, I haven’t read Infernal Devices). The Shiver series by Maggie Steifvater. Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver (awesome) and now Delerium is on my TBR list! I could go on for a very long time so I won’t 🙂 Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday!!! I just picked up DASH & LILY’S BOOK OF DARES by Rachel Cohn & David Levithan. It looks good.

We’re in the same YA Campaign group. WooHoo!

Have you read Kristen Cashore yet? Or is it Kirsten? *Sigh* can never remember. Anyway, either Fire or Graceling are awesome. And if you like adult thrillers, check out anything by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child.
Happy birthday!! Hope your hubby gets home soon (bringing you spa card, flowers and get-out-of-house free certificate).

I’m a little late, but happy birthday anyway!

As for my TBR pile, I just picked up Divergent by Veronica Roth. Haven’t started yet, but it’s burning a hole in my nightstand. I have heard so many amazing things about it and can’t wait to start.
