Oh crap. It’s Friday.

Am I the only person who dreads weekends?

From the moment my alarm goes off (no…I don’t naturally wake up at 6:15 a.m. on Saturdays) I run around frantically all day.  My list of to-dos is a million check boxes long and it takes all day to get through it (I never get all the way through it).

I miss college football!  I miss sitting on the couch in my jammies all day reading a book or (gasp) working on a manuscript.  Nope.  It’s all, “Crap.  Late to T-ball.  Crap. Is too cold to power wash the deck?  Crap!  Do you think I can snag the lawn mowing man next door?  CRAP!!  What do you mean you’re hungry?  Can’t you see I’m in the middle of scrubbing/vacuuming/folding laundry/searching for a baseball sock?”

I’m tired of weekends full of crap. I want to go back to the slow days when I didn’t need to shower unless we were going out to dinner (which, BTW never happens any more).

Any suggestions on how to get my weekends back?
