Scatter Sunshine

I’ve posted about my grandma like fifty-six times. This post isn’t about her, per se. But it’s about a song I can hear her singing whenever I feel grouchy. It goes like this:

In a world where sorrow
Ever will be known,
Where are found the needy,
And the sad and lone;
How much joy and comfort

You can all bestow
If you scatter sunshine
Everywhere you go.

Scatter sunshine all along your way;
Cheer and bless and brighten
Every passing day;

There are actually two more verses, but I don’t know them by heart.

Today’s a day when it would be easy to feel down, depressed, overwhelmed, but don’t we all have enough despair to waste our time reading someone else’s?

So in my effort to scatter a little sunshine, I’d like to introduce you to a new blog put together by two of my friends, Trisha Leaver and Lindsay Currie. They’ve co-authored a novel, called FATUM, that I’ve had the privilege to read. You can find out more about this book and their efforts to get it published at Hidden Truths.

Trisha and Lindsay are awesome people besides being great writers! They’ve given me lots of sunshine when it would be so easy to become frustrated with my efforts to get published. Thanks Ladies!

And don’t forget about Write Hope! The people of Japan could really use some sunshine too!
