Since I’m not being productive…
I figure I might as well participate in Nicole’s blogfest. All I have to do is answer the following questions:
1. What is your favorite word? Gorgeois. I know it’s not a real word, but I like it anyway. It’s like gorgeous but better.
2. What is your least favorite word? Vernal. It’s the city my husband’s parents grew up in, and he’s always trying to get me to move there. Doesn’t it sound like a venereal disease?
3. What turns you on creatively, spiritually, or emotionally?
Creatively: A great song with tricky/double-meaning lyrics.
Spiritually: Children singing.
Emotionally: Hmmm…I’m pretty much dead inside, so I don’t do emotions. Just kidding. My kids seem to be able to stir me up.
4. What turns you off? Bad breath.
5. What is your favorite curse word? Shit. At least it’s the one I use the most, but I try to say it quietly. (Cause that totally makes it less offensive)
6. What sound or noise do you love? Silence. When you don’t get much of it, you appreciate it when you do get it.
7. What sound or noise do you hate? Clipping toe nails…that or polka music. I had neighbors in Chicago that used to play it at 3 a.m.
8. What profession other than your own would you like to attempt? Broadway stage actress. Yeah, I know it requires talent. Key word in the question: attempt.
9. What profession would you not like to do? Garbage man.
10. If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear when you arrive at the Pearly Gates? “Well done.” But more than likely I’ll hear, “How in the world did you find us?”

Clipping toenails…blech. Even fingernails is gross…people do this at my work all the time!!!
Your answers were funny, thanks for the laugh!
Demitria
Vernal totally sounds like slang for VD. I don’t think I’d want to be a grabage man either…but they probably find loads of interesting stuff.

You’re right it does sound like a VD!
Looking forward to following your posts 🙂

Hi, I’m dropping in from the blogfest (nice to meet you!) and am your newest follower. I’m at: http://www.kittiehoward.blogspot.com
Loved your answers, especially #10.
~Nicole Ducleroir~
I loved your answers! Toe nail clipping is an annoying sound, especially while distracting you from the movie you’re watching as you wonder where all those clippings are ending up…
Yes, Vernal sounds like a disease. Don’t move there. LOL
Thanks for playing along!
Rachel Searles
I think Vernal sounds like a hillbilly relative. “Tell Vernal to go fetch up a nice chicken out the henhouse!”
KO: The Insect Collector
Vernal. Just, wow. Definitely don’t move to Vernal. It just sounds like a bad idea.
Becky Wallace
Thanks all for agreeing with me about Vernal. I’ll pass your opinion on to my hubby. Maybe he’ll stop wishing to make a VD home.
@Rachel: It is a hillbilly town!
Trisha Leaver
So cutting your toe nails while playing polka music would really throw you over the edge 🙂 Love you answers!
Becky Wallace
@Trisha: Are they clipping their nails gingerly? LOL.
Sylvia Ney
These are great answers. I especially like #6 – #10. I can relate to those the most. If you get a chance, please stop by: http://writinginwonderland.blogspot.com/

i like silence too.

Great answers! I am a fellow crusader and new follower. Nice to meet you!

I actually know where Vernal is located and I’ve even been there. My husband grew up in the Uintah Basin and he wants to move there, too. Also, he’s an IT guy, so the word functionalities didn’t throw me at all.
Also, I love your last response. How did you find us? That made me laugh.
It’s wonderful to meet a fellow Crusader!
Raquel Byrnes
I will not be able to hear the word vernal and not think something dirty…0_0
Wanted to say hello to a fellow crusader and give a follow. Seeing as how you’re on the blogest I entered too…I guess its double Hello!
Al
Polka music? How often do you hear polka music?
Lindz
3am polka music? Not okay. By the way, your answer to #10 gave me a good chuckle.
Becky Wallace
@Al: Seriously! I figure it must be the large Polish population in the city.
Cynthia
I’m for silence too. In a house with three males (1) husband (2) boys ages 9 and 8, (3) and one puppy, I enjoy the silence when I can get it.

Crusader coming to say hello! Hello!
Love your last one. How did you find us. That’s great.
Lisa Potts
Polka music! Gawd, how awful.
Great list. Sorry I’m so late. I’ve been crusading too!
William Kendall
Polka music at three in the morning qualifies as just cause for murder.
