And to sweeten the deal…
(NOTE: Five more entries and I’ll add an additional ten page critique! Tell your friends…at least your writerly ones. Queries can be entered until Tuesday. I will post the results on Wed. July, 20th!)
I’m sad that some of you can’t participate in the Query and Critique Contest because your story isn’t ready.
Since I can’t share my time with you, I’ve decided to share something else. My Grandma’s Homemade Brownies! I wish I could give you a plate of her world famous chocolate-on-chocolate deliciousness (Not an exaggeration, they rock MY world!), but her recipe will have to do:
Brownies
1 Cup Butter
4 Tbsp. Cocoa
4 Eggs
2 Cups White Sugar
2 Cups Flour
Melt butter and cocoa together (I just do it in the microwave). Beat eggs. Add dry ingredients and cocoa/butter mixture. Pour into a greased 9×13 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for about 25 minutes.
Frosting
1/2 Cup Butter
4 Tbsp. Cocoa
8 oz. Softened Cream Cheese
4 Cups Powdered Sugar
4 Tbsp. Milk
2 Tsp. Vanilla
Melt butter and Cocoa together in the microwave. Beat with cream cheese. Add Powdered Sugar, Milk, and Vanilla. Frost while still warm.
Confession: Sometimes I make the frosting and eat it. It’s that good.
Enjoy!

Yummy–I entered the contest, but I might have to steal the recipe too 🙂

I wish I had a WIP ready for this chance – it would be awesome to win! But a recipe for brownies (or really, chocolate in any form) is always welcome and goes a long way toward making up for the lost chance… and maybe I’ll be ready next time 🙂

Okay, maybe Apple can make an app that transmits food. There is just something…wrong about this. I’m salivating but still, no brownie. *pouts*

@Barbara: aren’t you a scientist? Figure it out! That’s an app I’d buy!
