Everything I Know About Writing…

…I learned from someone else’s blog.

It’s true. Or at least mostly true. I may have learned something in college and from my days as a journalist and an editor. But other than that it’s strictly Internet-based learning.

Here’s what I’ve decided to do:

• Each week I will look for lessons on a specific topic from smarter people’s blogs
• I will summarize all the information into a user-friendly paragraph or list or something of reasonable length
• I will post the info here, with links to the original work, and open a forum for discussion (with myself mostly).

It will give me something to look forward to (since no one actually reads this stuff) and help me learn to be better at my chosen profession.

I think I shall post on Fridays. A weekly article on something of real value will make my blog so much awesomer. (It’s a real word, google it.)

Any suggestions on a first topic?
